oh the things they say!!

Now that Caden's 3 and a half (oh my goodness!!!) he has started retelling conversations that happened days ago that even include inflection and voice changes! I love it!

A fews weeks ago Brian and I went out for our anniversary and Ashley came to babysit! While Caden, Addison and Ashley were playing Caden told Ashley that I teach him about Jesus but not Addison! Ha! I really do tell Addison about Jesus but I've started telling Caden more than just stories. I'm now telling him what God wanted us to learn from the lessons.

Caden and Addison went to Virgina last weekend and had a BLAST! While they were there they had made a cake for Mom's birthday! Caden informed everyone that I *never* make cakes. I guess that sweet boy just forgot that just a few days before they left he and I made a cake together. Silly boy!

I am so enjoying watching him grow up and learn so much! He can hear EVERYTHING that is said and repeats often...oh my!

Once upon a time...

we made sure we took a picture of the four of us! These are our friends Chris and Carrie. Carrie and I were friends through friends in high school when we moved to Greensboro. After highschool we lost touch until a good friend of ours, Cassie, invited me to Boone for the weekend! Carrie and Cassie lived together with another long lost friend from college Julie! From that weekend on Carrie and I have been best friends along with Brian and Chris. We love hanging out with them and wish we could more often.

For a couple of years it was just the four of us...then Caden was born...9 months later Brandt was born...then Addison and this week Highland.

We went down to Charlotte to see this sweet family...but as time has moved on we no longer take pictures of the 4 of us...instead we make sure we get a picture of the 4 of them! We have all enjoyed watching our boys become friends as they've gotten older. Just yesterday Carrie and I were saying how much we love hearing the boys have conversations as they were playing up in Brandt's room and we were listening...and giggling...to their conversations! I can't wait till these two sweet girls are doing the same thing! Welcome Highland! We love you!
