ANOTHER snow day and Mimi's Visit
Whew...we have had a TON of snow this winter. These top two pictures are of our children working hard to remove the snow this morning! Caden, Addison and I are ready for everyone to get back to school and into a routine...although we have enjoyed having Brian around so much. Down side? In the spring he'll have to make up the days when Collins is here. We got them these snow shovels just after Christmas and they LOVE them! I am hoping to venture out this afternoon to get the paint for Collins' room!! Just about 100 days left!!! I can't wait to meet this sweet baby! I was just telling Brian that I miss seeing him/her. With Addison it was medically necessary to check on things once a month so I got to see her all the time! I cannot justify $100 to see him/her for only 15 minutes!

Brian and I have loved to see what's important to Caden. He got a camera from Santa...and has been taking pictures since. There are some less than flattering ones of Brian and I...I'll keep those to myself!

It's what Firefighters do!
Our very own sherrif/firefighter/SWAT member saved the day this morning!
I was making the kids cinamon rolls this morning. I left the wrapper on the stove and decided to make myself some tea. I put the kettle on the stove and turned it on...walked away...awaiting the whistle. About 5 minutes later sweet Caden says in a calm voice words I'm very used to, "Mommy there's a fire". Typically, I just tell him to get his firesuit on and save the day. In a little bit more of an excited voice he says, "Mommy, there really is a fire this time on the stove." I got up from the email I was sending and ran over. Sure enough the wrapper is completely black and smoking. Turns out I turned on the wrong burner. How will I make it when he goes to Kindergarten next year?

Christmas Time!
We've been super busy this Christmas! Caden and Addison have been home for about 2 weeks and I think they're both ready to go back! (I'll be honest...I'm ready for them to go back too!!! We had a WONDERFUL Christmas and even got about 6 inches of snow! I hope you and your families also had a great Christmas! We sang Happy Birthday to Daddy and Jesus and talked about the most wonderful birth ever! Santa brought Addison a stroller!
A few weeks before Christmas it snowed and Brian took the kids out in it! I don't go out...you know I could slip...or...ahem...get cold!
Caden got a SWAT outfit and has been arresting Addison on a regular basis. Sad thing is she really doesn't mind most of the time. However, when she does mind he certainly gets frustrated with her resisting arrest!
This was also a few weeks before Christmas!
Caden sang during the Hanging of the Greens service at church!!
I found this picture on the camera. Brian took it. I'm not even sure where the picture was taken but I was very impressed!!

Christmas with friends!
Tonight we had some friends overs for dessert! The kids had a great time! Addison and Emory love, love, love each other! They danced and hugged, Addison stole Emory's crackers....they had a blast!
Here they are...what a crew! I can't believe they all looked in the same (almost) direction at the same time! (We missed you Leah and Jenni!)
