Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

18 months

How is it possible that this sweet baby is 18 months old now?  It seems like this picture was just taken.  I remember it clearly.  I was holding her and still amazed that she was a girl and not a boy.  I was convinced.  I'm still so thankful we didn't find out but I also can't believe that we made it!  That was so unlike us but so much fun!!

Since day 1 she has been attached to me.  I can't get enough of her and that's great news...she can't get enough of me.  She still loves for me to hold her...but only on her terms.  If she wants down she wants down.  In fact if she wants anything she wants it...end of discussion.  None of my children have really been fit throwers.  I had to laugh (and probably got judged by the parent behind me who's child was standing in line perfectly!) at the pediatrician's this morning.  Collins wanted her Trix cereal.  Yes, I gave her Trix.  However, the sign by the desk clearly said, "no food or drink in the lobby or rooms."  I took her snack trap and she immediately laid herself down on the floor (very carefully as to not get hurt) and proceeded to cry, stop look up for a response, didn't get one, so she'd continue to cry.  I thought it was hilarious...of course I didn't laugh and she did get up and walk off when she realized she wasn't getting a reaction.

She thinks that in her whole 22.5 pounds of goodness that she's as big as her sister.  No one has informed her that she's still a baby or as Addison says, "a toddler!"

She is such a sweet girl!  Her hugs are precious and given freely...kisses are not!  Today she asked to wear a hair bow.  My heart sang with joy.  Since day 1 she has hated them!

Her turning 18 months is bitter sweet.  The end of an era in the Muller household.  Soon we will be baby free...really we already are but for the next 6 months (or maybe 6 year) I'll live in the land of denial.  Infact, I've taught her to say, "yes" when I ask her if she's still my baby!  I am looking forward to moving into the next stage of life but I'll miss these days of having a baby!

A work in progress.

Today the garage should be complete! The new door is going up. Brian, Tom and Caden took the old deck off in the rain on Saturday!! Next week the new deck goes on! I can't wait!

Our house had a run in with the neighbors car...literally.

On Wednesday this week I was at work when I got a phone call from my neighbor saying that their car rolled down their driveway into my house.  This is what I came home to....

This is the inside after the emergency contractors came to stabalize our house.  Keep in mind our bedroom is just above the garage.

From inside you can see the 2X4's the put to hold the house up.

Bent rail for our garage door.

The outside.  Take not of where our garage should be...even with the bricks.

Now you can see it.

I am so very thankful for God's hedge of protection on our lives.  A definite reminder that he prompts us to make decisions in order to keep us safe.  I work on Monday's EVERY week.  This week I had a meeting on Wednesday so I changed my schedule.  The meeting was canceled but I decided to head on to work anyways.  If I had been home my car would've been hit as well.  Brian had been home just 10 minutes prior to this accident to get Collins some medicine to take to school.  EVERY afternoon Caden and Addison play outside in the driveway while I cook dinner and they wait on Brian to get home.   The basketball goal was also destroyed. Had it been an afternoon I shudder at the thought of what could have happened.  God is good...all the time!

Lunch

Today I had a few extra minutes so I went over to Caden's school to surprise him at lunch time. His smile says it all. I was just as happy to see him! Although I didn't even recognize him in the line. My friend Kimberly was there to have lunch with her little boy and spotted him!

Hair

I'm sad to see it go but it was time for Caden to have a good haircut. Checkout the before and after.

Preschool

Today was the first day of preschool for both girls. We have been together since mid may so it was bittersweet to see them go! I think they both had a good day although Collins was clearly mad at me when I picked her up with my mom. She only wanted her grandma. That sweet girl is a mess. Addison was missing her friends and honestly I was too. I'm looking forward to making new friends and I know soon she will have tons of new friends to play with!

They both looked precious today. Check out Addison's new shoes. She loves them! Collins looks so grown up in this picture and now says "cheese" when I take her picture.
