Sweet Sleepy Girl

My sweet little girl fell asleep this evening in her jumperoo. Now she's sleeping on her daddy. I'm hoping that tomorrow she will feel much better!

I know what can make her better....

Addison is still sick. She has RSV! This morning Caden asked me how we can make her better. My responded quickly with, "I don't know Caden." He simply looked at me and said, "I know Mommy, I will pray for her!" He then went over and put his hands on her head, thanked God for her and asked God to make her body better. This picture was a recreation but looks just like what he did when he went over and prayed for her. I wanted to enjoy the moment so I took this picture afterwards. When I pray with him at night I rub his hair so I think he might think that is what you do. I don't know. It was very sweet and one of my proudest Mommy moments!! We're still working on that God may take some time. He doesn't understand why she's not instantly better when he prayed for her! I guess we can all be a little impatient with God sometimes!!

My sick, sweet baby and birdfeeders!

I hate it when my babies are sick. I wish, pray and beg God to take it from them and just make me sick. My sweet girl is sick today! Brian and I took her to Brenners last night and she has RSV as well as a possible stomach bug! She has been in the position to see below since about two today! I'm not sure who's enjoying it more! As I look over there now...hours later...they're in the same position except his eyes are also closed! Yesterday was beautiful outside. So, we took advantage of it and played outside for a good portion of the day! Last week at school Caden made a bird feeder. We hung it yesterday! So far it doesn't look like any birds have eaten anything. Maybe I should go knock some seeds off before we get him back tomorrow. I miss this boy! We had planned on Caden spending the night last night at Mom and Dad's since Brian and I went out to eat with my sister and a friend. Since Addison is sick we've decided to leave him there until the morning. We're trying to avoid two sick children! I'll pick him up from school tomorrow and I can assure you I'll drive him nuts with wanting to hold him!

Baby Wearing and fun wih Daddy

This morning I decided to go shopping with my Mom and Dad. Brian and the kids were invited but Brian offered for me just to go to have a little "Mommy time" while he kept the kids. So...I gladly accepted. When I got home there were LOTS of toys out...I smiled! I love it when Brian gets the opportunity to just play with Caden and Addison. This is a gift that he has given me and the children so that I don't get to miss a minute. Often times on the weekends we head out early and run around town and do something fun. When we get home it's nap time. Very rarely do we just stay home on a Saturday and play! He got a glimpse into my day...while it's hard work it's a lot of fun!

Often when I go out with Caden and Addison by myself and the weather is decent I'll put Addison in her sling and Caden in the stroller. This week I found a great deal on a baby bijorn for Brian. Caden tried it out this morning with his doll Harlow... and yes...that's Addison he's got in the carrier!!

Looks like "Daddy days" are a lot of fun!!!! I sure did enjoy my morning out and even got the chance to utilize the shuttle service at the Honda dealership....now that's something you can't do with two carseats!!

It won't always be like this...

Caden and Addison....one day this will be proof that you adored each other! Today Addison and I went to wake Caden up. He asked to hold her so I layed her on his belly. He immediately says, "awesome" and then leans up and kisses her and says, "I love you sister"! Does it get any sweeter than that? I wish I had my camera.

About an hour later Caden was eating snack and Addison started to cry. He asked to be excused and told me that me that Addison needed him! These are a couple pictures of him calming her down!

SHE DID IT!

This afternoon I was reading the mail. I looked up and saw this!!! She rolled over! If only she could get that arm out from under her! She's still on the floor trying to do it again!

Independance

My sweet, sweet boy is getting so grown up! First of all...the day we put him in his big boy bed we told him he couldn't get out unless mommy or daddy came to get him. He didn't. Ever. He would call for me every morning. Until....2 days ago. Last night he came out of his room at 10ish and said, "it's a beautiful day". I responded with, "no baby, it's still night time". Her burst into tears and jumped so he could have been sleep walking. So we did the whole potty thing...I pulled the blinds and showed him it was still night time and then Brian prayed with him again. All was well...Caden was back asleep. This morning at 7:30 (BTW, if we have anywhere to go I always have to wake him up after 8!) I awoke to the sweetest little boy about 2 inches from my face saying, "its a beautiful day, Mommy!" I replied with, "Caden, Mommy's not ready yet!" He then pulls the blinds much like I had done the night before and says, "no Mommy, it's sunny!" So...we start our day. Addison woke up shortly after. I typically have to wake her up too!

We continued on with our morning. Caden let me know that he needed me to dress him. It hit me...if he can ask me to dress him why can't he dress himself. I got his clothes, laid them on my floor and told him to go for it! HE DID IT! Every single piece of it...down to the undies and socks. Granted he did wear crocs today...with socks on. He then insisted that I not help him brush his teeth. So I didn't. They probably weren't as clean as usual but I figure who cares. He was really proud of himself and did let me help him tonight! I'm really proud of him too. It seems like just yesterday that I held him for the first time. He'll be 3 in 2 and a half short months! Where in the world did time go??

Rolling Over...well almost

Addison is trying really hard to roll over! Brian took these last night...we thought she would do it but she didn't! Hopefully soon!! She goes to the pediatrician on Friday! I'm excited to see how much she weighs!!
