Yum!

Last night Mary was kind enough to watch the kids. Before Jennifer brought dinner they made brownies for some friends. This sweet girl learned what brownie batter tastes like... Do you think she liked it?? ha!

Brian has class tonight so when Mom called and invited us to dinner I was more than happy to accept! (Yes, she did just have minor surgery to remove a screw in her ankle this morning...but she did have a helper!) See?!?! She was a great helper. Although, she's much like her Daddy and didn't want any dough. Caden and I don't get it!

Caden helped too! I taught him how to set a table and he did a great job!

She insisted!

I was reading a blog when all of the sudden I hear Addison's frustrated cry. So I walk over to the other side of the coffee table and she's trying to put Caden's extra underware on! I first told her that they're "Nuh's" but she didn't care and insisted. So I put them on her...why not? Afterall Caden asked last night to have a "Pajama Day" today! Excuse the messy family room! We've had a blast playing today! I'm thankful we're just having a "rainy home day" and not a "snowy home day"! I think I'm done with those!

Caden's Faith Amazes Me!

Tonight this sweet, silly, brilliant and faith filled child and I had one of the most precious conversations we've ever had! Caden, Addison and I were on our way home from church and passed a synagouge. Caden asked if it was a church and I said no, it's called a temple or synagouge. He then asked if that was the name of their church. So I told him no. I wanted to keep it simple so I just said, "They believe some of the things the Bible says but not everything. They do not believe that Jesus was God's son." He then asked why. All I could come up with was that I didn't know! I then told him that the Jesus says in the Bible that the He is the truth, the way and the life and no one can go to heaven if they don't love God and Jesus." He innocently said, "Isn't everyone going to heaven?" I then had to explain to him that not everyone goes to heaven. He asked why. I responded with some people haven't heard of him yet and some people have made the choice not to love God and Jesus and choose not to believe in God. He again asked why and I had to tell him again that I don't know and that I don't understand why! He was quite. I thought he might be thinking but you never know. I went about a mile down the road and he said, "my heart is broken!" I asked why...you just don't know what that sweet boy is going to say! He responded so sweetly with, "My heart is broken that some people don't love God and Jesus!" Oh how my heart broke and smiled at the same time! My heart broke that there are those that choose not to have a personal relationship with God and smiled that my sweet boy loves My God!
I'm so thankful that God has answered a prayer that Brian and I have prayed over our children since we found out we were pregnant! I love that boy (and girl!) and can't wait to watch them grow and learn more and more about God! I can't wait for the day when our children have these conversations together and when AdEliz and I have these same sweet conversations! Isn't the faith of a child so refreashing??
