Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Who's idea was it???

I've decided that it couldn't have been a mom that decided that trying to take a "perfect" picture of their sweet darlings to send to just about everyone they know. Tonight after dinner we set out on a mission to get our "perfect" picture! It wasn't as easy or quick as Brian and I had hoped it would be...here are a few that didn't make it...enjoy!

Air Force One and Thanksgiving Day

The Ryan boys came over to play. While we were outside, we noticed a huge low flying plane that was extremely loud. I looked up and noticed that it was Air Force One. Apparently they were doing touch-and-go's in Greensboro because they came back through a few more times. Here are some pictures of us playing and a good picture of Air Force One taken from my driveway.

Thanksgiving Day 2009

We woke up and decorated the house for Christmas. Becky made a jello casserole with pretzels and cream cheese to take to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving dinner. We called Mimi and Pop Pop in Florida. They said it is 59 degrees there. It was 52 here. Enjoy some of these pictures from Thanksgiving Day. Addison as a reindeer is a candid shot from our house. Others were taken at Grandma's house.

Caden's Native American name: "Swinging Bat" ~hopefully no coincidence with the baseball pun

My boy...he's growing up!

I was thinking today how grown up Caden is becoming but how he's still such a little boy. Sometimes I forget that he's only 3 and probably expect him to do too much. But, let me tell you how proud I am of that sweet 3 and a half year old.

Here is a BRIEF summary of the great things he can do:

-He can bathe himself...start to finish!!

-He can completely dress himself

-He can brush his own teeth.

-He is wonderful about putting his dishes in the sink!

-He is wonderful with his sister! (Except for this morning when he was really trying to help me get her out of her favorite hangout...any bathroom! He came out of the half bath with her walking in front of him but he was holding her up with his arms around her neck! She was VERY angry!)

-He can make his bed....see!

-He compliments us all! Just recently he told me he was really proud of me for showing his Sunday School class how to pack the "boxes for the poor children"! It melted my heart!
-He is learning his letters and their sounds at school and is constantly trying to figure out what letter words start with...he's getting pretty good!
-What am I most proud of Caden for?? I love to hear that boy pray! It never gets old...yes they are VERY long winded but they are truly a conversation with God...they are so precious! I also love to hear him tell AdEliz about Jesus!

I have so enjoyed this stage in his life despite the tantrums, the incessant "whys" and his new found ability to negotiate! He tells me often I'm his best girl in the world. That is besides Addison, she's also his best girl! I hope I'm still his best girl during his teenage years! Deep down I will be...I just know it!

Bumper Jumper Fun

Last night Caden and I decided it had been WAY too long since we've made a trip to Bumper Jumpers! So we made it over here today after the gym! I sure hope all this fun (energy expending) activity gets these sweet kidos back on schedule since the time change (6:15 does not work for this Mommy!!!)!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween weekend has been busy...but we love it that way! Friday Mimi and Pop Pop got here from Florida just in time for Caden's school party! That night we carved a pumpkin. As you can see Caden had no interest in touching the nasty part!

Caden worked hard!!

We went trunk or treating at church and had a GREAT time!

We watched some UF football!! (I know, I know...I was raised a Gamecock fan and really I still am! However, this year UF is number 1 and I did marry a Gators fan! Check back next year for the Gamecock outfits!)

Oh no, Daddy! What do you mean Tim Tebow is graduating this year?? Mommy and I sure do think he's cute and we think it's cool that he wears a Bible verse on his face every game!
