Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Go gamecocks!!

This past weekend Brian and I along with some friends of ours and Mary and Tom headed to see the Gamecocks tear up the gators. As it would turn out the gators gave us a run for our money but we ended the night with a win.

It was great for Brian and I to get away while we knew our babies were having a blast with their Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jeremy!

A legacy

October 27th Caden accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior!  Brian and I, as well as our families, are OVER the moon!  God is so faithful. This is something we have prayed for for him since before he was born.

November 10th he was baptized.  It was a great time of celebration!  To God be the glory.

Please join us in praying for him as he begins his walk with Jesus!  It was won't be easy but it'll certainly be the most spectacular journey Caden could ever dream of!

Our Pastor married Brian and I 11 years ago and dedicated Caden 7 and a half years ago!

As I continue to thank God for His faithfulness I'm reminded of the legacy that has carried to another generation.  There are many things I desire to teach my children but the thing I want them to know most is that we serve a mighty God that is more than worthy of all of our praise.  Simply, I want them to worship…all day…with their words, thoughts and actions.

I pray that God will keep this fire alive in my sweet boy!  He is so bold to share his faith.  I am proud of him.

But grow in he grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  2 Peter 3:18

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  2 Corinthians 5:17

Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name?  For you alone are holy.  All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.  Revelation 15:4

I'm so thankful we belong to a church that serves.  I'm grateful for every Sunday School teacher, Awana leader, choir leader.  I'm thankful that truth is taught there.

Pastor Pat commended the congregation for serving.  Serving in the church has eternal rewards.

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, jesus as heist was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.   John 7:38

I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.  John 8:12

To God be the glory….great things he has done!

Our first GIRLS trip!

The boys left on Tuesday to come home for work and school. I decided ahead of tome that the girls and I would try something different and stay the rest of the week for our first ever girls trip!  It was a lot of fun. We played all day in the sand even if one day we had to wear long sleeves. We went out to dinner and made cookies and just had a blast. We of course did some window shopping at Barefoot Landing!
We went out to breakfast one morning just because!
Dinner!
The girls and I agree that this will have to happen more and more as they get older.  They were both angels. We came home Thursday night to our sweet boys. They even for us roses to welcome is home!

A perfect week!

We have had such an amazing beach trip!  We've played and really just soaked our time together up!  We spent some time in the beach. Monday we headed to charleston for the day. It was a lot of fun to show the children where I grew up!  We also met up with my childhood best friend!

Just the FIVE of us!

Tomorrow we head to the beach for the week...just the FIVE of us.  My kids can't wrap their minds around it.  We always go on vacation with family.  They've all asked who else is coming several times. I'll be sure to update the blog on our adventures!  I can't wait!

Saturday Brian and I celebrate 11 years!
God has certainly blessed us beyond our wildest dreams!

Big Girl Hair

Week before last it was time to get Collins Lea her first "big girl" hair cut!  Have I mentioned that she's completely potty trained and sleeps in a twin bed now?!?!  My goodness....for the first time in 8 years we don't have a crib in our home and for the first time in 7.5 years we have no diapers.  (Okay, she does sleep in pull ups at night but is dry most mornings!)  She is the sweetest most easy going child we have.  She's also the most adventurous!  She gives the other two a run for their money every day and makes the 4 of us laugh on a minute by minute basis.  She is a mommy's girl 99% of the time...she still insists that I hold her whenever she pleases...of course I oblige whenever possible...she's only little once.  Right?

She talks all the time and her speech is very clear.  We are so thankful after she had so many problems before the tubes and temporarily lost most of her hearing in both ears!

We are blessed more than words can convey by this 2 and a half year old little girl!

(check out Addison in the back...the girl is hilarious and so expressive!!!!  I love it!!!)
