The Princess

Today we're just hanging around the house...it's much needed! Addison decided to put her baby's tiara on! It's gone from summer to winter here in about a day! So...we're all hanging out in sweats watching football...and we love it!

Sweet, Sweet Memories!

This afternoon after naptime Caden went downstairs while I changed Addison's diaper. When I got downstairs he was sitting in the corner chair with a picture. I could tell by the frame what picture it was. He then said to me, "Mommy who is that man holding the little girl and that lady?" It was a picture of my Grandad holding me and my Nanny (his mother) sitting next to us. I was probably about 4. It's not a great picture, it's kinda dark, but certainly one of my favorite pictures. You see, I was a Grandad's girl!

Throughout the day today he's been asking me to tell him stories about HIS Great Grandad! I love that he claims him even though he's never met him. Tonite I told him about weeks spent at my Grandma and Grandad's...what precious memories. All of the sudden I could smell the smell of onion bagels that lingered back to the bedroom early in the morning. My Grandad ALWAYS got up REALLY early and did the crossword for the day and ALWAYS had an onion bagel with the butter melted just right ready when I got up with grits. After breakfast we'd go on an adventure. No matter where we went it was always fun! Some day's we'd go to my Nanny's together and just hang out and watch the planes land! It was neat telling Caden about my Nanny and the VERY tall apartment complex she lived in and my memories of eating pizza everytime I went to her house at the very same dining room table that is in Caden's Grandma's house now! He couldn't believe it!

Caden couldn't believe that I slept in the very same bed he sleeps in on his visits now! He wasn't convinced that their house could be so old that his Grandma lived there when she was a little girl! I didn't try to explain that Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Laura lived there too...that might have blown his mind! We'll save that for another day! He asked if his Daddy knew him. I told him he didn't. So he went through the list of just about everyone else! Seriously, Mary, Jennifer, Allison, Brian, Chrisptopher, ect..... I told him that his Great Grandad would have loved him and Addison A LOT! I can just imagine...Caden and Addison would be rotten (okay even more rotten than they already are!) Addison is such a sweet reminder of him as I think she looks like my Grandad in a lot of ways!

So...family, Caden will be asking you very soon about Grandad! Start thinking of some fun stories now! He wants to see pictures too!

P.S. Mary and Jennifer would go with me sometimes but sometimes we'd go on our own weeks. One summer Mary lived up there and went to "Summer School" and split her time between Grandma/Grandad's and Nana/Da's! We were lucky that Nana and Da and Grandma and Grandad lived close to each other. Typically we would split out week in half mixed in with some fun times at Aunt Lindsey's! While I have great memories from their house's too! I will have to share memories from Aunt Lindsey's and Nana/Da's soon so one day they'll have all this on paper. However, it was VERY special to share memories of my Grandma and Grandad's with him today...especially my Grandad because our memories are the only memories he'll know of him. I'm thankful he has plenty of his own memories with my other grandparents!

14 weeks today

I can't believe I'm 14 weeks today...and I'll post about Caden first field trip shortly!!!

Eight years ago today I married my best friend! It's been a great 8 years! I'm so thankful that God gave him to me! He's not only a wonderful husband but a wonderful father to our (soon to be) 3 children! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us over the years!!!

Making Memories!

Last night I layed down with a headache. When I came down I found Brian, Caden and Addison making a memory! They were all snuggled up in a chair watching the stars. They were sweet enough to let me join them! Then they snuck on over to get some mommy love!!! I'm so thankful that they love making memories with us but thankful to that they have a daddy that takes advantage of these opportunities!!

Getting Ready...

Getting ready for Collins is SO different than it was with Caden and even Addison for so many reasons. It is still just as exciting! I can't wait to see him/her next Monday!! There's just not that much to buy....Brian's thankful I'm sure. I did see a sweet white day gown at the Lollipop shop that Collins just has to have!

What is SO neat is Caden's understanding. Sure there's A LOT he doesn't understand...like why Collins won't "hatch" tomorrow. Or why he can't by there when Collins is born. But what is neat is that he knows God is making Collins grow and hearing him pray for his baby! I love hearing Addison tell Collins night night and then "shhhhhhhhhhhhh" to my belly. Then she'll lift up my shirt and yell, "MORNIN! BABY!!" It's just too sweet! I'm sure she'll give sweet Collins a run for his/her money but I know she'll be oh so sweet!

(Side story...I asked Addison who the sweetest girl in the land was tonight and she yelled, "Addison!" I have to agree that girl is sweet like honey!)

One thing hasn't changed. Brian and I are certainly praying for Collins and his/her growth and development! I know the days will more than likely go by slow but I already feel like this pregnancy is FLYING by! Can you believe on Tuesday I'll be 11 weeks? Me either!

I'm trying to savor every moment of this pregnancy since it's our last...I almost promise! Seriously, we're 99.9% sure this is it for the Muller's but I also said I was done after Addison screamed for months on end!

Thank you for praying for our sweet baby and family as we prepare for his/her arrival! It's such a blessing to see all of you just as excited for our new addition to the Muller clan! I already can't imagine our family with him/her!

p.s. Caden SWEARS Collins is a boy and Addison is VERY sure Collins is a girl....what's your guess?
