Almost there

Whew....we are in the final days. The final days we will ever expect a baby! It's bitter sweet really. We are all very ready to meet our newest love. However, I keep reminding myself to enjoy every last kick...even if it wakes me in the night. These are our last days with only two children. Addison has been very clingy the last week. I think she knows these are her final days as the baby.

These are the final days of Caden being a "toddler". I know he hasn't acted much like a toddler in years (minus the occasional meltdown) but technically he has been one. ( see dad, that degree is paying off!). I'm having a hard time with my baby turning 5. I bet he's been told a hundred times this week about the day he was born! It seems like just yesterday! When he was born everyone said it would go quick....I just didn't think it would go this quick.

So, for the next few days I'll be soaking up these final days and looking forward to our new adventures as a family of five, having a five year old and of course keeping up with my princess!

What a weekend!

Last Friday my cousin Brian posted on facebook that it was spring break. I jokingly responded, "great, see you in 5 hours!" That night we went to dinner with some sweet, sweet friends to celebrate Collins. While we were there I got a phone call from Brian. I still didn't believe he was here. When we got home sure enough he had come to surprise us all! We had a great weekend with him!! Addison is still asking where her Brian is! Caden said this morning that he wanted Brian to come back for his birthday party! Saturday night Brian's sister Allison and her finance Brendan also came for dinner from Chapel Hill but we didn't get any pictures of that! Thursday Brian took Caden to the ACC tournament! He won tickets earlier in the week and thought it would be a blast for Caden!! It was indeed! They went with a teacher and his son that's the same age as Caden!
When I asked Caden how the game was he said, "great, Daddy let me get a giant pretzel and a sprite!" It's the little things to this sweet boy!

Earlier on Thursday Brian took this sweet girl on a date with her Mama (Grandma)! First we met at the mall and it looks like the fun really started after I left!

But...before I left we went to gymboree! Brian put this hat on Ad and immediately she started to shout and gallop that she was a cowboy! She loved, loved, loved having time just the 3 of us! We also loved it! It's not often that she gets our undivided attention and in just a few weeks she'll be a big sister! Hard to believe!

A morning at the Fire Station!

This morning I went on a fieldtrip with Caden's class to the Fire Station! We had a GREAT time! Caden got to get on the truck, hold the hose, check out where they sleep and eat!

From Caden's Camera

Caden has had the greatest time with his camera! Here are a few shoots from his camera!! There were TONS of pictures of just random things he takes pictures of while we're driving...tons of pictures of his sister among other random objects from around the house!

I'm not sure how he managed this but he figured out how to put three pictures together into one...I'm not sure he could do it again! This weekend his Grandma and Grandaddy fullfilled a dream his mommy and daddy quickly squashed and got light up shoes!

He wanted a picture of Mommy, Daddy and Collins.

A picture of just Mommy and Daddy!

Caden and Addison play this game where Caden gets behind the chair in our den and Addison drop diapers on him. They laugh really hard. Brian and I laughed really hard when Caden got behind the chair put the camera on the top of his head and started clicking as she dropped diapers on his head! I may never get the appeal of the game....but that's okay...it won't be the last time I don't understand them!

Saturday morning while Brian let me sleep in way too late they learned how to use the timer! I love these three!

Clearly, Chick-fil-a is near and dear to his heart!

There are SO many self-portraits!! I love them all!

She LOVES her brother!
