Birthday mishap

Tonight addison got to celebrate her 3rd birthday. As she leaned in to blow out the candles her hair caught on fire. Grandma was quick and got the fire out with her hand. Only a small portion of her hair got burned and a fee of her eyelashes! Thankful she's okay!

Kindergarten blues

Kindergarten is going great. He loved it...until today. Addison was actually very sweet and did not announce that we went to the science center while he was at school. However, he spotted the famous stamp.

The Outer Banks 2011

Every July our crew heads to the beach...I'm thankful for this week. It's a week where we focus on family! It's spent playing on the beach, in the pool and at the house. We eat...really well and the company is even better. Our group keeps growing and you can simply see the joy on my grandma's face as she watches all of her grandchildren and their husbands along with her great grandchildren play. The Cousins.

Collins at 4 months. She slept on the beach each day...does it get any better than that? It must have really worn her out because each afternoon she slept for over 4 hours!

A week with grandparents. Does it get better than that? They loved having Grandma and Grandaddy all week!

After 3 long years of waiting.... I hope it is EVERYTHING he ever dreamed it would be!

First Day of Kindergarten

I can't believe it's been 5 years since I brought him home! I am so proud of this sweet boy. This morning on the way to school we prayed together and asked God to help him make good choices and to show God's love to everyone there.

He looks so big! I know at the end of the year I'll be looking at this picture remembering how little he was!

Addison wanted to stay with him. We've had a busy morning. We met some friends for breakfast before we came home. It is really quiet here with only Collins and Addison! We certainly miss Caden but I'm thankful that he is certainly having a GREAT time!




At Pearce they don't let you walk all the way into the classroom so I had to snatch a picture from the door. All the children were sitting quietly at their desks doing their morning work! We're thankful for a wonderful teacher and I know it will be a great year with Mrs. Hunt!
